1. Navigate to the signup form
Go to https://control.imageengine.io/register/ or navigate from the imageengine.io page:
In the input box, please enter the URL of the website you’d like ImageEngine to optimize. Once you have entered a URL, click continue. Later you’ll pick an Origin based on current image origins on this website.
Note that all info you provide during this process can be modified in the control panel later on.
2. Create an ImageEngine account
You can either create the account by registering with your Google or Github account (these options are only available if third-party cookies are allowed), or you can create an account using your email and a password.
Click “Sign up” to continue.
3. Select an origin
On the site provided in step 2, images may be served from a number of sources. If we are able to detect them, these sources are listed here. Select the source (origin) that you would like ImageEngine to fetch the original images from. Alternatively, you can type in a different origin.
Not sure? No worries, this information can be changed later!
Click the “Complete Configuration” button to continue.
4. Signup Completed
ImageEngine is now ready to use. You will be directed to the control panel, where you can set up new engines. and easily access integration guides. Moreover, in the control panel, you’ll find statistics, billing information, and advanced settings for modifying yourEngine's image delivery.
6. Change your
If you were able to provide origin information in the signup, we will have created your first engine. To use it, your
<img> tags in your site's html must refer to an ImageEngine Delivery Address. Read the details here, or look at the integration guides in the menu.
In this case, it will be a randomly generated, unique domain name like
xxxxxx.cdn.imgeng.in. You’ll use this address to serve the images located on the origin defined earlier through ImageEngine’s system.
If you were unable to provide the needed information to create your first engine, you will need to do so to start using ImageEngine. There will be a helpful prompt on the top of the control panel asking you to do so.
7. Verify the implementation (optional)
Once, you've updated your website to reference your delivery address, you can optionally verify the implementation by entering the website url where images are served from ImageEngine and click "Verify Implementation".
A popup will inform you about the progress and ultimately show a result. If successfully verified, the implementation guide section will collapse and the status of the engine will change to "Active".
You can always revisit the setup instructions by clicking "Revisit setup instructions" on the engine overview page.
You can choose to skip this step without any impact on the engine's function. The status will change to "Active" as soon as enough traffic is being served by the engine.
