If you know that you have large data use requirements or require access to a customized delivery address for ImageEngine deployment, please reach out to our Customer Success Team who will happily help you get started.
During the signup process, you’ll be asked some questions to configure your ImageEngine account, which is outlined in the following steps.
Note: Don’t worry, any info provided during the initial account setup can be modified in the control panel later!
1. Sign up for ImageEngine Account
Click the Free Trial button to start the signup process. Please see the Sign Up article for more in-depth information!
2. Find Your Delivery Address
When you register for a trial, we will use the information you provided to create an Engine for image delivery, composed of an Origin you provided and an automatically created Delivery Address. This delivery address is what you will use to serve images!
Once registration is complete, you will have a functional Engine with an accompanying Delivery Address so that you can implement ImageEngine
You can also find this Engine information by logging into your account at https://control.imageengine.io/login. Login to your ImageEngine Account, and then open your trial. The Engine’s overview will show the current Delivery address.
The Delivery Address is all you need to start using ImageEngine. For example, if you had an image at https://foo.com/image.png, then you may serve the optimized version by replacing your origin domain name, foo.com, with your engine’s Delivery Address: https://xxxx.cdn.imgeng.in/image.png.
You can add, modify or delete Engines and their elements anytime in the control panel.
4. Update your
Whether you use responsive images markup or the good ol’ image tag, the approach is the same; change the URL of your images.
If your original image tag looks like this <img src="//foo.com/img.png">, or maybe <img src="/img.png"> then change it to <img src="//xxxxxx.cdn.imgeng.in/img.png">, where xxxxxx.cdn.imgeng.in is the Delivery Address assigned to you in previous steps.
Your platform may also provide a method to streamline updating IMG tags. See our integration guide section for system-specific guides for ImageEngine integration.
5. Tweak and Tune
Log in to the control panel to adjust settings and add or delete new engines, origins, or customize delivery addresses. You may also find data on your account’s usage statistics and the Cache Purge interface
