Sign up for a free trial
1. Click the “Start Free Trial” button on the ImageEngine.io homepage
In the input box, please enter the URL of the website you’d like ImageEngine to optimize. Once you have entered a URL, click continue. Later you’ll pick an Origin based on current image origins on this website.
Note that all info you provide during this process can be modified in the control panel later on.
2. Create an ImageEngine account
You can either create the account by registering with your Google or Github account (these options are only available if third-party cookies are allowed), or you can create an account using your email and a password.
Click “Sign up” to continue.
3. Select an origin
On the site provided in step 2, images may be served from a number of sources. If we are able to detect them, these sources are listed here. Select the source (origin) that you would like ImageEngine to fetch the original images from. Alternatively, you can type in a different origin.
Not sure? No worries, this information can be changed later!
Click the “Complete Configuration” button to continue.
4. Signup Completed!
ImageEngine is now ready to use. you will be directed to the control panel, where you can set up new engines. and easily access integration guides. Moreover, in the control panel, you’ll find statistics, billing information, and advanced settings for modifying your Engine's image delivery.
6. Change your <img>
tags
If you were able to provide origin information in the signup, we will have created your first engine. To use it, your <img>
tags in your site's html must refer to an ImageEngine Delivery Address. Read the details here, or look at the integration guides in the menu.
In this case, it will be a randomly generated, unique domain name like xxxxxx.cdn.imgeng.in
. You’ll use this address to serve the images located on the origin defined earlier through ImageEngine’s system.
If you were unable to provide the needed information to create your first engine, you will need to do so to start using ImageEngine. There will be a helpful prompt on the top of the control panel asking you to do so.
