ImageEngine comes with an advanced control panel that allows you to manage all aspects of your engines and origins. Additionally, statistics and billing information is available.
When logging into the control panel, you will be presented with a list of all trials and subscriptions (canceled as well as active) that exist for the account.
Engines and origins associated with the subscription is listed in the left hand menu.
For trials, you may also access the payment screen directly using the Add Payment Method button.
Navigation/Search bar
If you have many engines, origins, team members or subscriptions, it may be convenient to use the various search features for navigation:
In the search box, type the name of an Engine, Delivery Address, or Origin that you are looking for.
Once a search has been made, any matching results and their nature (engine, subscription, Origin) will be displayed.
Engines
An "Engine" is the pairing of an Image Origin and a Delivery Address. This is the essential pairing that allows for you to pass image requests to ImageEngine
You most recent or favourite engines are listed in the searchable left menu. If you want to see all your engines, you can click "See all engines". From here you can navigate to the details of the engine, settings, analytics and more.
Once an engine is selected, the left menu expands with more options:
- Change settings
- See statistics
- Purge cache
Customize Image Delivery
Usually, it is recommended to let ImageEngine make all the decisions on how to best optimize an image. ImageEngine’s advanced algorithms for choosing the best optimization strategy give much better results over time.
However, there are many valid scenarios where the only option is to adjust the default behavior of ImageEngine. This is done through custom settings, applied to specific paths.
To customize an Engine’s behavior, change origins, manage CORS behaviour etc click the “Settings” menu item, or the engine settings button from the engine overview page:
For information on usage, please see our article on Customizing Engine Image delivery
Purge cache
An Engine’s cache purge interface can be accessed from the control panel’s left-hand menu while an Engine is selected, or from the engines overview page.
For more information and usage tips, please see this article: Cache Purge
Traffic Report & Analytics
There are different kinds of statistics to view in the control panel.
Traffic report
The traffic report is a tool to check the total bandwidth use for all your subscriptions for all engines. This report shows the amount of smart bytes which is the basis for billing. The traffic report can be accessed by clicking the icon top left corner of any page in the control panel.
Analytics
Analytics with charts is available both on a per engine base as well as per subscription. To see analytics for all engines in a subscription, select the subscription from the dropdown menu, click the meatball menu, and select "Analytics".
For engines, the "Analytics" menu item will display key charts for that specific engine.
See the article about Analytics for more.
Teams
Invite your co-workers and colleagues to access the control panel. Depending on your plan, you can invite several people to manage your engine and subscription. When you have a team, all engines, created by you or the other team members will be visible to all members.
Creating a team
To create a team, click the [+] button, top left corner, then click "Create Team" in the modal popup.
You'll be prompted to give your team a name. Use the company or project name, for example. Once the team is created, you can invite users by clicking the "team member" option in the "Add" button option list or from the team members list, available from the user drop-down (top rightmost button). Provide the requested details and submit. The invited user will get an email with further instructions. You can also copy the invitation link to share directly with the invited user.
Once the invited user has set a password, they may log in.
If you reach the limit of allowed team members in your plan, you can always upgrade to extend the team size.
