Starter, Growth, and Beast Plans
The following information applies to Starter, Growth, and Beast accounts. If you have or are interested in a "Pro" level plan with parameters customized for your needs, please see the Pro Plan section of this article.
Starter, Growth, and Beast plan subscriptions are billed on the anniversary of when the subscription becomes "active" at the end of the 30-day trial period or annually. The first payment is billed 24 hours after the account becomes active. The amount that accounts are billed is determined by the subscription type, Starter, Growth, and Beast (see our Pricing).
All plans include a prescribed amount of Smartbytes usage.
- Starter 70GG
- Growth 400GB
- Beast 800GB
If Smartbytes usage during the prior billing period exceeds the billing tier's allowance, additional SmartBytes buckets are available and will be added to the following monthly bill. For the starter plan, each additional bucket contains 50GB @ $30, for Growth: 200GB @ $100, and finally, Beast: 400GB @ $160.
Please check your account analytics to check your usage totals.
Note: If your free trial just ended, this overage may be waived for the first bill, unless total usage during the trial was exceptionally higher than the 70gb included in the Starter Plan.
Add or update a payment card
A valid payment method is required for your ImageEngine subscription so that it may be billed. This will first occur at the end of the trial period and then monthly or annually thereafter. Entering your payment information at any time during the trial will not cause the immediate end of the trial. If payment information is not provided by the account's expiration date, the account is subject to cancellation at our discretion.
If a payment method is not already on file, the option to “Add Payment Method” will be visible in the 'meatball' menu next to the Subscription drop-down. Otherwise, you will find the “update payment details” option here.
Updating billing information
If you need to change or update the billing information in the future, you'll find a menu item in the meatball menu next to the subscription name:

Update Billing Period
If you wish to change your billing period (to monthly from annual, or vice-versa), you may do so from your subscription "details" page.
Click the "manage billing cycle" button.
A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the operation. When you change the billing cycle, you will be refunded the remainder of your current cycle, and a new cycle will start immediately.
Billing History
In the 'meatball' menu next to the Subscription drop-down, you can also find a link to your billing history. Here, you'll also find receipts for recent transactions.
Pro Plan
Due to the custom nature of Pro Plans, billing may be done on a separate system. Invoices are emailed to the account's email address on file.
If you need to acquire billing history, update your billing information, or make other changes to a Pro Plan, please contact your Sales Representative. If you are unsure of your Representative's contact information, please open a support ticket.
